New Terminology Update: DOM is Now DAM

More accurate language for today’s market

CRMLS is refining how key metrics are communicated to better reflect what they truly represent. As of June 3, two commonly used MLS terms have been updated:

• Days on Market (DOM) is now Days Active in MLS (DAM)

• Cumulative Days on Market (CDOM) is now Cumulative Days Active in MLS (CDAM)

While the terminology has changed, the calculation methods remain exactly the same. No action is required on your part—these updates have already been made on the backend of the MLS.

This shift in language is designed to provide clearer insight into listing activity and ensure consistency across our platform.
